***P&G's Biggest Acquisition in its History -$54bn purchase of Gillette***
Want to know more about this biggest ever acquisition of P&G?
In January 2005 P&G announced the biggest acquisition in its history (and the largest in the industry) - the $54bn purchase of Gillette. This case study covers the reasoning behind this acquisition as presented to Wall Street at the time: strategic rationale, the impact on shareholder value, the financing of the deal, integration plan, and most importantly - how this all went through.
Why should you come to this case study presentation?
This case study should give you a good understanding of how big acquisition projects are carried out and what it takes to "sell" them to the stock market. The presentation will include slides that were used to persuade the Wall Street that the deal will be successful. It puts the right emphasis on the external factors affecting the companies' decision making, and demonstrates how Economics concepts are applied to business finance. Additionally you will develop an understanding of the roles of finance in a leading global businesses.
Speakers?
The case study will be presented by 2 P&G finance managers: Nick Craig - Corporate Finance Manager UK&I (Emmanuel, 1995) Roma Giniyatov - Customer Team Finance Analyst (Churchill, 2007)
Seats are limited, and will be allocated on a first come served basis.
