Hiscox, headquartered in Bermuda is a specialist insurer, underwriting a particular range of personal and commercial risks. Over the course of a century, we have grown from a single underwriter based at Lloyd's into a FTSE 250 company with offices in 13 countries and customers around the world.
Bronek Masojada joined Hiscox as Managing Director in 1993, then Chief Executive of Hiscox plc in 2000.
He is responsible, together with the other executive members of the Board, for the development of the group, its overall financial performance and the effectiveness and efficiency of its day-to-day operations. Since joining Hiscox, he has led the transition from a small private company to a significant quoted entity. He was also Deputy Chairman of Lloyds from 2001 to 2007.
Prior to joining Hiscox, he worked at McKinsey & Company, the management consulting firm. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Natal, South Africa. He was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and studied for an M.Phil in Management Studies at Trinity College, Oxford.
In his spare time Bronek is a keen kite surfer.
Stuart Bridges joined Hiscox in 1999 as Group Finance Director
He is graduate from Cambridge and a chartered accountant and has held posts in various financial service companies in the UK and US. He was a member of the Financial Reporting Council’s review group on The Turnbull Guidance on Internal Control.
