We will be holding elections for the Lent term committee. The positions up for running are as follows:

Vice president (sponsorship) - responsible for obtaining sponsorship for the term as well as taking on any overflow from the president's duties.
Head of Operations - in charge of the Operations team, which is responsible for calling up companies to set events for the coming term
Operations officers x3 - responsible for calling up companies for events in the incoming term and hosting the events which they're responsible for.
IT x1 - helping the Marketing and IT Head in maintaining the website as well as other media-related issues, such as advertising, producing term cards, etc.

If you would like to run for any of these positions, please contact the president at
president@cambridgefutures.com, stating name, college and position that you'd like to run for.* For more information about how the committee works and what each position does, feel free to browse the website or email the current committee members.

*Note: For the positions of Vice president and Head of Operations, you would need to show prior experience in contacting companies or sponsorship work

As a few people have already contacted me regarding elections procedures, I'll attempt to provide a brief description of the elections process.

1. Submit: name, college and position that you'd like to run for as well as a brief description of past experiences that you may or may not have had in the context of the position that you're running for to the president at president@cambridgefutures.com. As mentioned earlier, please feel free to email the current committee members holding that position to find out more about what types of responsibilities they have.

2. Elections will take place on Saturday 25th November, 1.30pm-4pm at Angevin Room, Queen's College.
The programme for the elections is as follows:
1.30pm-2.15pm: Elections for VP and Head of Ops
2.15pm-4pm: Operations officers + IT

For those interested in running for the positions listed above, please turn up at the correct times (ie if you're running for VP, turn up at 1.30pm; if you're runing for Ops or IT, turn up at 2.15pm). Results for each position will be announced when all the applicants for the position have been interviewed.

3. Elections mainly consist of a 3-4 minute speech about yourself, why you'd like to join Cambridge Futures, what do you think you would bring to the role, any past experiences that may help, etc. Then you'll have a brief hustings session by the entire current committee. The interviewing process is private for each applicant, and should last about 10-15 minutes. Results will be announced at the end of the day.

Good luck!

*Note: This is only for members who are interested in running for the positions listed above - it is not a regular event. If you wish to run, please contact the president at president@cambridgefutures.com with name, position and college latest a day before the elections.
