What We Do

Remaining true to its origins, Cambridge Futures continues to provide valuable information and guidance for those looking to explore post-university careers options. Through company presentations, business skills workshops, and networking socials, Cambridge students, regardless of gender, ethnicity, mobility, college, degree subject or experience are provided with the opportunity to discover potential careers paths, meet prospective employers, extend and build their skills in order to improve their employment possibilities.

Choose Your Track

Need a hand in deciding which careers track to follow? With almost thirty years of careers guidance experience and thousands of former members now employed by companies, governments and charities across the globe, Cambridge Futures has built up an extensive network of contacts in a broad selection of employment sectors.

Find Your Place

The society currently hosts weekly interactive company presentations, free of charge (and often accompanied by a buffet dinner!). These range from 'What is Management Consulting' to 'A Degree in Marketing in one evening' along with a bit of 'Ace your Applications and Interviews'. Although generally sponsored by individual firms, it is the society’s primary aim to give its members an overview of the roles and experiences of graduates in different employment sectors.

Cambridge Futures allows Cambridge students, whatever their field of interest, to be informed about what's out there, so that they are empowered to make the choices that suit them. Whether you have no clue about what career you hope to lead, or whether it’s just a matter of fine-tuning the details as to how to get there, Cambridge Futures brings professionals in a wide range of disciplines to talk to and advise its members.

Build Your Network

Beyond presentations and skills-enhancing events, the Cambridge Futures Society also organises a number of more informal social events to which it invites both its members and industrial representatives. These events provide Cambridge students with the opportunity to network and socialise with both like-minded peers and future employers in a relaxed environment. Who said deciding on a future career had to be hard work?!

Who We Work With

Cambridge Futures aims to offer presentations from and provide information about as many different employment sectors and firms as possible. To date, the society has worked with almost all the top FTSE 100 companies as well as most major international and national charities.

Cambridge Futures is an independent student-led society that has, by reputation, built up an extensive number of contacts in many different industrial sectors. The society is continually looking for ways to broaden the service that it offers and this term's committee intends to work hard to invite companies to present and offer information from the widest possible selection of employers.
